What is the difference between Thymulin and Thymalin?
They are two different substances that are often confused because of the similar names. Thymulin is a single, sequence-defined nonapeptide with its own CAS number (63958-90-7) and molecular formula (C₃₃H₅₄N₁₂O₁₅). Thymalin is a low-molecular-weight thymic peptide complex of the Khavinson bioregulators and is not defined as a single sequence. Why is zinc mentioned in connection with Thymulin?
