FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about Research Peptides

Answers to important questions about peptide purity, COA documentation, HPLC analysis, shipping, and Research Use Only (RUO) guidelines.

What does 'For Research Use Only' (RUO) mean?

Research Use Only (RUO) means that our products are intended exclusively for scientific research and laboratory experiments. They are not approved or suitable for human consumption, therapeutic application, or veterinary use. Buyers confirm their understanding and compliance with these conditions when placing an order.

#

Can I order peptides to Spain or Portugal?

Yes, we ship throughout the EU including Spain and Portugal. Research peptides are legal as RUO reagents for scientific purposes. Shipping is from the EU warehouse – no customs fees within the EU. Typical delivery time 2–6 business days.

#

How is peptide purity tested?

Each batch is tested for purity using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Additionally, we use mass spectrometry (LC-MS) to confirm molecular identity. Results are documented in the Certificate of Analysis (COA) included with every shipment.

#

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A COA is a document containing the analysis results of a specific product batch. It includes information such as lot number, purity, molecular weight, and appearance. Every NovaCell product is shipped with a current COA, which is also available online.

#

How should peptides be stored?

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored cool, dry, and protected from light. We recommend storage at 2-8°C. Protect from moisture. Reconstituted solutions should be stored at 2-8°C and used promptly.

#

How do I reconstitute peptides with Bacteriostatic Water?

Bacteriostatic Water (BAC Water) contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative and is the standard solvent for research peptides. To reconstitute, slowly guide the desired amount of BAC Water down the vial wall (not directly onto the lyophilisate). Gently swirl, do not shake. Store the solution at 2-8°C.

#

How does shipping work?

We ship via priority with discreet labeling. Shipping within the EU typically takes 2–6 business days. Free shipping within the EU for orders over €115. Full shipment tracking included.

#

What happens with customs issues?

For EU orders, customs fees typically do not apply. For deliveries to third countries, customs fees and import taxes may apply and are to be borne by the recipient. We cannot guarantee customs clearance in third countries.

#

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept only the payment methods offered at checkout: bank transfer (SEPA/SWIFT, prepayment) to the account of NCBL Sciences OÜ and crypto payment via NOWPayments (BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL & 300+ coins) with a 3% discount. No credit cards, no PayPal. Payment is in EUR.

#

Are there volume discounts?

For larger research projects or regular orders, we offer individual conditions. Please contact us with your requirements for a personal quote.

#

Can I return products?

Due to the nature of our products and the need to ensure product integrity, we can accept returns of sealed, unopened products within 14 days. Opened or damaged products cannot be returned. Please contact us before returning.

#

How is my data protected?

We take data protection seriously. All personal data is processed and stored in accordance with GDPR. We use SSL encryption for all transactions and do not share data with third parties except as necessary for order processing. Details can be found in our Privacy Policy.

#

Who can I contact with questions?

Our support team is available via email. We aim to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours. For COA requests or technical questions about products, please use the contact form with the appropriate subject.

#

What is the difference between CJC-1295 DAC and CJC-1295 No-DAC (Mod GRF 1-29)?

CJC-1295 DAC contains a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) moiety that extends its half-life to 6-8 days. CJC-1295 No-DAC (Mod GRF 1-29) has a short half-life of ~30 minutes, mimicking pulsatile GHRH release. For research designs studying pulsatile GH secretion, the No-DAC variant is often combined with Ipamorelin.

#

What is the CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin blend used for in research?

The CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin blend combines a GHRH analogue (CJC-1295, 5mg) with a selective GHS-R1a agonist (Ipamorelin, 5mg). This combination is used in preclinical studies investigating synergistic growth hormone release effects. Ipamorelin is considered a highly selective GH secretagogue.

#

What is GLP-3 / Triple G / Nova Triple G?

GLP-3, Triple G, or Nova Triple G are names for Retatrutide, a triple agonist of GLP-1R/GIPR/GcgR receptors. It is one of the most advanced research molecules in metabolic regulation. Available as a synthetic peptide (10mg) for preclinical research purposes. RUO – for scientific research only.

#

What is TB-500 and how does it differ from BPC-157?

TB-500 is the synthetic analogue of Thymosin Beta-4 (Tβ4), a peptide that regulates actin polymerization and cell migration. BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide (15 amino acids) derived from a gastric mucosa protein. Both are subjects of preclinical regenerative research but act through different signaling pathways. TB-500 is often combined with BPC-157 in the KLOW Blend.

#

What is Tesamorelin?

Tesamorelin is a synthetic 44-amino acid GHRH (Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone) analogue. It binds specifically to GHRH receptors, stimulating GH secretion. In basic research it is used for studies on metabolic effects of the GH axis. Available at NovaCell as ≥99% pure lyophilized research peptide (10mg).

#

What is HGH 176-191 (GH Fragment)?

HGH 176-191 is the C-terminal fragment of human growth hormone (amino acids 176-191). It does not bind to the IGF-1 receptor but is studied in research into lipolytic mechanisms and metabolic effects. Available as a 5mg research peptide with ≥99% purity.

#

What is Melanotan-2 (MT-2)?

Melanotan-2 is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of α-MSH (alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone). It binds to melanocortin receptors (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, MC5R) and is used in basic research on pigmentation, appetite regulation, and other melanocortin system mechanisms.

#

What is PT-141 (Bremelanotide)?

PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a cyclic heptapeptide acting as a non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R). Unlike PDE5 inhibitors, it acts centrally. In research it is used to study neuroendocrine mechanisms of the melanocortin system. RUO – not for human use.

#

What is MOTS-c?

MOTS-c is a mitochondrially encoded peptide (16 amino acids) transcribed from the mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene. In preclinical studies, it is researched in connection with AMPK activation, insulin-sensitizing effects, and mitochondrial biogenesis. Available in 10mg and 40mg.

#

What is SLU-PP-332?

SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic ERR (Estrogen-Related Receptor) pan-agonist that activates ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ. In preclinical studies it is researched as an 'exercise mimetic', as it activates transcriptional programs of oxidative phosphorylation and mitochondrial biogenesis.

#

What is Kisspeptin-10?

Kisspeptin-10 is a 10-amino acid peptide encoded by the KISS1 gene. It is the endogenous ligand of the GPR54 receptor (KISS1R) and plays a central role in regulating GnRH secretion. In neuroendocrine research it is used to investigate the hypothalamic-pituitary axis.
